Base fee:
  • Contingent faculty includes those whose primary employment, whether full-time or part-time, is not on the tenure track.
  • Please contact the WHA Office to receive a code for Guest Registration. (The WHA defines a guest as a family member or someone who would not attend the conference except to accompany a conference attendee.)

The  61st Annual Western History Association Conference will be held in Portland, Oregon from October 27-30, 2021. Please visit our travel and accommodations page to book your hotel now!

In 2021 there will NOT be onsite registration. 

Refunds will be issued for cancellations received by midnight on October 11, 2021 (this includes cancelled registration and ticketed events). All refunds for cancelled registration after that date will be honored, minus a $25 handling fee (please allow 2-4 weeks for processing).

*This 30% discount is a one-time initiative to offer our members extra assistance in 2021. Please do not use this registration rate if you do not require financial support.

***The WHA defines a guest as a family member or someone who would not attend the conference except to accompany a conference attendee. Each WHA conference attendee, regardless of membership category, must individually register – unless they qualify as a guest.
